• By entering your MP3 in the competition, you agree that you have performed the submitted song and that it can be performed live.

• Also by entering your MP3 in the competition, you agree to have it reviewed by a panel of judges and the public. The Arizona Daily Star reserves the right to refuse an entry at its discretion, including, but not limited to, material it deems too offensive.

• The contest is open to all ages and styles of music. No more than eight band members are allowed. Solo artists are eligible.

• The members of a band entered are to remain the same throughout the competition. No additions or substitutions after entry.

• Finalists must agree to perform and provide their own instruments at the Last Smash Platinum Bash at Arizona Stadium on April 29, 2009.

• Finalists also agree to make themselves accessible to the Arizona Daily Star for interviews and photographs.

• Any person entering under the age of 18-years-old must furnish a permission slip signed by their parent or guardian in the event they become a finalist.

• The artist(s) chosen to perform at the Last Smash Platinum Bash will need to sign the University of Arizona Performance Agreement prior to the performance.

• Any potential finalists must agree on a code of ethics for the performance to be determined by the Arizona Daily Star and University of Arizona. The code of ethics will include conduct requirements.

• Any participant who violates any of the rules set forth will automatically disqualify his or her entire band from the competition. No exceptions.

• Rules, guidelines and prizes are subject to change.
